WOAPA @ Witney Music Festival

Witney Music Festival was founded by Witney resident Stuart Foster in memory of his sister, Jo-Marie, who passed away in her sleep in November, 2005 at just 21 years of age.
Jo enjoyed an active social life and loved music so it’s appropriate to dedicate the festival to her memory.
Last year’s event was staged throughout the town at many pubs from the Robin Hood and The Carpenters to The Plough, The Hollybush, The Butchers and Fat Lils, to other locations such as Hacketts Bistro, The Art Studios, St Mary’s Church, Langdale Hall, The Corn Exchange and outdoors in Marriotts Walk and Market Square.

The festival consisted of several events each evening making a total of about 150 acts involving some 500 performers through the week and offering a wide choice of music to more than 3,500 people who came to watch and listen.

The festival is intended to serve the community (nearly all of the performers are local people from many different backgrounds) but also welcomes some visiting artists who have connections with the town.

WOAPA are pleased to announce that their Witney Choir - WOAPA's Adult Singing Group have been invited to perform at this year's music festival.

They will be on stage at Marriot's walk in the afternoon of Sunday 13th May approx 3.30pm
