We are thrilled to announce that top professional choreographer Ben Davies is coming to Witney to teach a special street dance class / commercial dance workshop at
West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts
 
On Saturday 23rd April 2016. 

Described by Simon Cowell as "incredible", Ben is a former UK street dance champion who won an 'Outstanding Contribution to Youth Dance' award from Youth Dance England. 


After performing at 'Breakin' Convention', 'MTV Duke of Edinburgh Awards', 'HMV Dance Showcase' and 'Move-It' festival, Ben became one of the biggest names in youth dance. 


Most recently, Ben has worked with Cher Lloyd, 'X-Factor live' shows and on the 'BBC Music Awards' with acts such as Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne, Years and Years and OMI. 


Ben has also been a judge on Purestar's 'Stars of the Future' competition.

Ben's other choreography credits include 'The Voice', 'Got to Dance', 'Ashley Banjo's Secret Street Crew', 'The London 2012 Olympics' and on 'Britain's Got Talent' with his own troupe: Addict Initiative. 


Ben also teaches across the country delivering commercial dance classes and workshops and has an incredible following from the next generation of commercial dancers. 


Ben comes highly recommended by Tim Noble, choreographer to Kylie Minogue, whose workshops formed part of the launch in 2012 of ‘WOAPA’ – West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts’ theatre school for children in Witney.

The workshops, throughout the day, will demonstrate Ben's skill in choreography in commercial / street dance. Drawing from his wealth of experience in performance and choreography, Ben will offer the students a rare insight into the life of a professional dancer and choreographer. At the end of each workshop all the children will take part in a short presentation for families and friends, and each child will have a photo opportunity with Ben. 
 
All current students at WOAPA [Acts 1, 2 & 3] automatically have a placed reserved at the workshop as part of their on-going tuition at WOAPA.
 
We are also able to offer a very limited amount of spaces to children who are not regular WOAPA students* at £25 per person for the three hour session (10.00am - 1.00pm or 2.00 - 5.00pm).
