West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts student Tanika has been successful in passing recent auditions for this year's pantomime at The Oxford Playhouse: 'Cinderella'.
The pantomime marks Tanika's second production on the Oxford Playhouse stage this year, as she recently appeared there in the musical Oliver!
Last summer, Tanika joined a growing list of WOAPA students who have gained an Arts Award while studying at our performing arts academy in Witney.
As part of her studies, Tanika reviewed 'Horrible Christmas' at The Old Rep Theatre, Birmingham and for her 'Arts Inspiration' section she interviewed and researched cast member Earl Hughes.
About Cinderella at The Oxford Playhouse:
Cinders ugly sisters and wicked step-mum make her scrape and clean all day and its beginning to make her feel sad. She needs backup. She needs you! Plus some support from her best friend Buttons (who happens to be a mouse) and maybe a bit of help from a certain fairy godmothery-shaped someone...
But even if Cinders does get to the party, whats all this about midnight deadlines, pumpkins and magic slippers? When panto fun and games ensue, its the audience wholl be having a ball!.
Cinderella is written and directed by Steve Marmion, Artistic Director of Soho Theatre and creator of our 5-star Aladdin last year. So if you like all-singing, all dancing, laugh-out-loud silliness with a big dollop of festive mayhem, then Cinderella promises to be the perfect fit.
Performance dates are 25th November 2016 - 8th Jan 2017
West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts is a children's Saturday drama school in Witney, educating children in performing arts across Oxfordshire.
