Perfectly Frank
The feature-length musical film ‘Perfectly Frank’ tells the story of Frank, who has Aspergers Syndrome and agoraphobia.
Frank, who has been raised by his Grandad, on a diet of 1950s & 1960s musicals. faces a number of challenges and can only leave their house when holding his Grandads hand but when his grandad becomes ill, Frank has no choice but to leave the house alone. The production is filmed through Frank’s eyes, which the producers say aims to allow the audience to “see the world in a beautiful, magical and musical way”.
Luke Rufo wrote the script and is also directing the production.
The musical score is by Marin Gratton.
The film is in production over the summer of 2018 in a variety of locations around Southport.
WOAPA student Dexter Kent (pictured here with Connor Deino Simkins who plays Frank) took part in the filming and had a fantastic time.
Well done Dexter - we look forward to seeing the film soon!
