Witney Choir perform Rock & Pop classics at Chipping Norton Music Festival
Witney Choir at Chipping Norton Music Festival - Distinction!
WOAPA's Adult Singing Group in Witney were awarded a 'Distinction' for their performance of 'Radio Ga Ga', 'Keeping The Dream Alive' and their very own 1970s mash-up: 'I'll Go Where The Love Train Doesn't Take Away The Music'.

We are extremely proud of our Wednesday evening choir in Witney, which has worked really hard over the past few months to get things sounding great. This was reflected in the glowing comments after the performance.
Some comments from the Adjudicator
Radio Gaga
There was good clarity in the lyrics and well-blended voices.
The short moments of part-singing were really well balanced and the claps were very rhythmical.
Keeping the dream alive
There was confident pitching and rhythmic precision here.
Well done to the lowest part for the lovely tonal warmth you achieved and for the dynamic variety you included to provide extra interest.
I'll go where the love train doesn't take away the music
Lots of smiling faces here!
The voices were well-focused and you sang with excellent precision of pitch and rhythm.
A buoyant performance with real team-work.

Formed in 2011, we provide a fun, social evening where you can meet others who like to sing and enjoy music.
Our Wednesday evening group of experienced singers (now over 80 members) attend from all across West Oxfordshire and beyond
We also have a 'beginners' choir, for anyone who has little, or no, experience of singing in a group (or those who are a little 'rusty') which meets on a Tuesday evening.
