Sing Messiah with WOAPA

WOAPA are planning to organise a group of singers to perform in Handel's 'The Messiah' at The Royal Albert Hall, London later this year.

Are you aged 16+ yrs and interested in singing Handel’s Messiah with us at The Royal Albert Hall? Here are a few FAQs

·When is it? And why do we have to book so early?

Usually it’s held on the last Sunday in November. Places are limited and often sell out as soon as they are released in March. Singers need to express an interest before March.

·Do I have to be able to read music?

No. We carefully take you through things step by step and you can learn it by ear very easily. We also show you how to follow the score.

·When Are rehearsals?

One per month, May—July, Two in Sept & Oct and three in Nov (usually Thursday evenings).

·What if I find it too difficult?

You won’t. Learning in small, bite-size chunks, sessions are relaxed and fun! If there is something you don’t understand in-between sessions, we are always available to help via email and phone. You can even take your music into the performance with you too!

·Will I be with people I know at the performance?

Yes! All our singers sit together in groups (Sops, Altos, etc)

·Can friends & family come too?

Yes! At the time of booking, we can also book audience seats for them and a place on the coach. After that date though, they will need to buy tickets from The Albert Hall direct (if there are any left!)

·What does the cost include?

·Reserved singer’s seat at The Royal Albert Hall, London.

·Return coach travel from Witney

·Full music score

·Rehearsal CD (with someone singing your part to you!)

·Tuition & mentoring & ongoing support throughout

·A fantastic, memorable experience!
