Christmas Performance a success

WITNEY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH-ON EVENT. Friday 30th November, Market Square, Witney
50 members of WOAPA's Adult Singing Group and 50 WOAPA students (Witney Youth Choir) took to the the MAIN STAGE in Witney Market Square at this year's Christmas lights celebration. The performance (described as 'one of the highlights of this year's ceremony') started immediately after the official switching on of the lights by Prime Minister David Cameron and was seen by an audience of several thousand. The crowd sang and danced along for 15 minutes of WOAPAs own versions of some seasonal favourites.
As a result, we have had several requests from people wanting to join our Academy of Performing Arts in Witney near Oxford. If you would like a free taster session, please contact us.
Future Christmas performances include:
Friday 7th December, 7.00pm
St Mary's Church, Witney.
WOAPA's students are delighted to have been invited to perform at this year's Carol Concert hosted by Witney Town's Mayor: Harry Eaglestone. The concert is one of the highlights of the Mayor's yearly calendar and not one to miss!

WOAPA's students will be joined once again by the Adult Singing Group for this Christmas concert.

This year, WOAPA has performed at Witney Music Festival, Battstock, The Jubilee celebrations, performed a 'flashmob' in Central Oxford and sang at Witney's Candles of Hope ceremony at the Cancer Research 'Candles Ball'. The Adult Singers and Students also recorded a CD of popular songs and took part in filming one of those songs for a Christmas Special video.
