Chipping Norton Pantomime success

WOAPA students to appear in Chipping Norton Pantomime

Congratulations to Alfie A, Nia A, Emily J and Emily R on securing roles in this year's pantomime at Chipping Norton;
"Sleeping Beauty".

Nia and Emily J are no strangers to the stage at Chipping Norton Theatre, as both were in the pantomime there last year: Robinson Crusoe.

All three girls are students at West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts, taking part in classes in Singing, Dance & Drama there.

Alfie is a member of WOAPA's 'Showchoir' (Witney Youth Choir)

We look forward to seeing you all on stage - break a leg!

Child actors (Pippins) have always played an integral role in the pantomimes at Chipping Norton and unlike many other Christmas shows, they get great characters, lines and songs.

This year directors were looking for 12 'Pippins' between the ages of 8 and 14 to make up three teams as part of their company of professional actors. 'Pippins' act, dance and sing and help create the magic of pantomime!

Once Upon A Time there lived a Princess, her long-suffering Nanny, her doting Fairy Godmother, and grumpy old King Lenny.

On her 18th birthday, the Princess pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and falls deeply asleep. When she wakes up, exactly four hundred years have passed and things have got a whole lot groovier... But who just kissed her? What strange clothes everyone is wearing! And what's that music?!

Performances of Sleeping Beauty are 14th November 2017 to 14th January 2018.
