Arts Award Success for WOAPA student

Congratulations to Sophie Cridland on achieving her Silver Arts Award while studying at WOAPA - West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Sophie maintains our 100% pass rate!

Sophie has been a performing arts student at WOAPA for 4 years.
Having already completed her Bronze Arts Award, Sophie went on to the next level, Silver, which she passed.

Well done Sophie!

Silver Arts Award, a level 2 qualification, is available to young people aged 11 to 25.

For the qualification, moderated by Trinity college London, students must take part in an arts challenge/activity

They must also develop their arts leadership skills, review an arts event, research artists and organisations and deliver an arts leadership project working with other artists.

Students need to plan their work with an adviser and keep a record by creating their own Arts Award portfolio. Young people can pick their own style of portfolio – this could be a diary, video, website blog – or something different altogether.

Arts Award is also open to non-WOAPA students and can be undertaken in a range of arts activities.

We have arranged, and assisted our students to appear in local productions, professional stage shows (locally and national tours) in film, television and advertisements.

We regularly invite industry professionals to our school, to provide master-class sessions, giving our students access to work with performers at the top of their game.

Previous students have been successful in gaining places at prestigious drama schools and organisations (RWCMD Royal Welsh college of Music & Drama, NYMT National Youth Musical Theatre, Guildhall school of music)

We also offer opportunities to qualify for 'Arts Awards' in-house - assisted and moderated by our award-winning mentor.

We look forward to you contacting us, to discuss enrolling your child ....
