Hello!, I'm Thom Conroy.
I trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama for 6 years (2017-2023)>
I graduated in 2023 with an MMus (Distinction) in Multi-Woodwind instruments and also received The Simon Clarkson Award, being recognised as the best all-round player of the college.
In 2019, I became one of the few musicians in the College’s history to transfer from Strings ('Cello) to Woodwind mid-course.
I currently play over 40 instruments.
In 2023, I performed aboard Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth II as a resident musician on her world tour of 18 countries.
I have performed in many major venues across the UK including the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, the Sheldonian Theatre and Dorchester Abbey (Oxford) Wales Millennium Centre and St David’s Hall (Cardiff), Chester Cathedral and The Actor's Church, Covent Garden.
Now that I'm working as a freelance musician and teacher, I'm available for music lessons on a variety of instruments.
I can teach a range of styles and can offer tuition for total beginners to more advanced singers.
For those more advanced students - perhaps hoping to attend a music college - I can offer consultation sessions to assist with the application process
Or if you would just like some tips on how to improve your technique, I can do that too.
You can choose between 25-minute sessions at £20 each, or 55-minute sessions at £40 each. With plenty of open slots, feel free to reach out if you're interested in booking sessions or would like more information.
I can be available during the day, after school/evenings and weekends.Thank you, and I'm looking forward to the chance to connect with all of you!
