WOAPA Students’ Festive Professional Performances

Good luck to Niamh, Molly, Vanessa and Sam who are about to begin rehearsals for Christmas shows.

Niamh spent the festive season in 2018 sparkling & shining all over the country in the national tour of 'Nativity! The Musical'. She then appeared at The Cornerstone, Didcot in 'The Adventures of Pinocchio' (2019). In 2021/22, Niamh made her Oxford Playhouse debut in 'Robin Hood', closely followed by appearing in a TV advert for Quorn. She appeared on TV again, in October, in 'The Love Box in your Living Room' with Harry Enfield. Niamh returned To The Oxford Playhouse, in 22/23, to appear in their production of 'Cinderella'. Niamh has been a singing, dance & drama student at WOAPA for 7 years and she is delighted to be returning to the Oxford Playhouse pantomime again this Christmas in 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.

Molly has been a WOAPA student for 5 years, first joining our 'Young Performers' class for ages 4-6yrs, then moving into our Friday evening main school, when aged 7. Molly has just started attending auditions and this is Molly's first professional casting. She is very excited to be appearing in Cinderella at the Theatre, Chipping Norton November 2023 - Jan 2024.

Vanessa has also been a WOAPA student for 5 years, first joining our 'Young Performers' class for ages 4-6yrs, then moving into our Saturday afternoon main school, when 7. Vanessa has previously appeared in The Sound of Music (Cornerstone, Didcot) and in 2022 she performed in the pantomime 'Aladdin'. This is Vanessa's first appearance at the theatre in Chipping Norton and she can't wait!

Sam attends classes in singing, dance & drama at WOAPA each week. Although Sam only joined us recently, he is thrilled that he has already been successful at auditons and will be appearing in the Oxford Playhouse pantomime: 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. Sam will join WOAPA student Niamh  in the pantomime from November 2023 through to January 2024.

WOAPA is an award-winning, popular, Children's Theatre School: Singing, Dance & Drama classes for children aged 4 - 21yrs in Witney, Oxfordshire

WOAPA is an award-winning independent Theatre School for children aged 4 - 21 years, which operates in Witney, Oxfordshire, at weekends during the standard academic term.

Our classes are led by experienced and enthusiastic tutors whose skills in working with young people will enable your child to develop at his/her own pace, and encourage them to reach their true potential.

Providing quality tuition in the three disciplines of Singing, Dance and Drama, our classes ensure that your child receives the individual attention he or she deserves.

We promote a positive environment - where students have fun as they celebrate their individuality and achievements.

Working as part of a team, students are encouraged to be creative and value the experience of working closely with others towards a common goal. Skills are developed and refined, enabling students to become multi-disciplined, all-round performers.

We offer fantastic additional opportunities to our students. At WOAPA, we take pride in going that extra mile. We have arranged, and assisted our students to appear in local productions, professional stage shows (locally and national tours) in film, television and advertisements.

Alongside our children's activities, we have a choir in Witney for adults. If you would like to join us, please ask for details about our Witney Choir.

Previous students have been successful in gaining places at prestigious drama schools and organisations (Royal Welsh college of Music & Drama, Royal Academy of Music, NYMT National Youth Music Theatre, BYMT British Youth Music Theatre, Guildhall school of music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Oxford School of Drama)

We also offer opportunities to qualify for Trinity College 'Arts Awards' in-house - assisted and moderated by our award-winning mentor.

Our students are offered LAMDA exams and we always achieve 100% pass rate.

A large number of our students come to us via recommendation from parents of children already enrolled with us.

Why not book your child a taster session and view the quality of tuition first-hand.

We look forward to you contacting us, to discuss enrolling your child .
