'Please Sir, I want some more' - WOAPA students take to the stage in Oliver! Musical

Congratulations to
Evie, Niamh, Amelie, Georgia, Dougie, Adriana, Nicholas and Elisabeth
who were all successful at recent auditions to appear in Oliver! The Musical at The New Theatre, Oxford (Jan 2024).

Evie has been a WOAPA student for almost 5 years.

She recently achieved a distinction in her Grade 3 LAMDA (acting) exam.

Evie has appeared on TV in ITV's 'Scrambled' and has also appeared in the music video: 'Wash Our Hands' for Billy's Club World.

Evie is thrilled to be performing in Oliver! at The New Theatre, Oxford in the New Year.

Niamh spent the festive season in 2018 sparkling & shining all over the country in the national tour of 'Nativity! The Musical', followed by performing at The Cornerstone, Didcot in 'The Adventures of Pinocchio' (2019).
In 2021/22, Niamh made her Oxford Playhouse debut in 'Robin Hood'. This was closely followed by appearing in a TV advert for Quorn.
She appeared on TV again, in October 2022, in 'The Love Box in your Living Room' with Harry Enfield.
Niamh returned To The Oxford Playhouse, in 22/23, to appear in their production of 'Cinderella' and she is delighted to be returning to the Oxford Playhouse pantomime again this Christmas in 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.
Niamh has been a singing, dance & drama student at WOAPA for 7 years and she is thrilled to be performing in Oliver! at the New Theatre in January 2024.

Amelie has only been attending WOAPA for one year, but she has already passed her Grade 3 LAMDA (Acting) with distinction.

Amelie is very excited to be performing in Oliver!, in Oxford's largest theatre!

Georgia has been attanding singing, dance & drama classes at WOAPA for over 5 years.

She has only recently started auditioning for shows, is thrilled to have been successful at auditions for Oliver! and is looking forward to performing in the production in January.

Dougie has been a student at WOAPA for nearly two years.

This is his first major production and he can't wait to use all the skills he has learned at WOAPA, in Oliver!

Adriana has been a WOAPA student for 6 years, initially starting in our 'Young Perfomers' class (for students aged 4-6yrs) and then graduating to our main school.

Adriana was set to perform in Chipping Norton's pantomime, 'Rapunzel' in 2021, however, she didn't get to complete the run, as the children's ensemble were removed due to Covid.

However, Adriana DID appear in last year's 'Dick Whittington' at Chipping Norton and had a great time!

Adriana is really looking forward to appearing in the full-scale production of Oliver!, in January.

Nicholas has attended WOAPA for less than a year, but took the decision to audition for Oliver! and he's very glad he did!

Nicholas is looking forward to starting rehearsals and is thrilled to be performing on such a big stage as the New Theatre.

Elisabeth has been singing, dancing and acting at WOAPA for over 2 years.
This is Elisabeth's first big audition and she is lookign forward to joining the other WOAPA students on stage in Oliver!

It's a pleasure to see our students having fun each week in our singing, dance & drama classes.

Even better to see their self-esteem and confidence grow - to the point where so many of them now feel equipped to go out to auditions for professional shows AND secure those roles.

We are so proud of our dedicated team of tutors who help them to succeed and do so well.

WOAPA is an award-winning independent Theatre School for children aged 4 - 21 years, which operates in Witney, Oxfordshire, at weekends during the standard academic term.

Our classes are led by experienced and enthusiastic tutors whose skills in working with young people will enable your child to develop at his/her own pace, and encourage them to reach their true potential.

Providing quality tuition in the three disciplines of Singing, Dance and Drama, our classes ensure that your child receives the individual attention he or she deserves.

We promote a positive environment - where students have fun as they celebrate their individuality and achievements.

Working as part of a team, students are encouraged to be creative and value the experience of working closely with others towards a common goal. Skills are developed and refined, enabling students to become multi-disciplined, all-round performers.

We offer fantastic additional opportunities to our students. At WOAPA, we take pride in going that extra mile. We have arranged, and assisted our students to appear in local productions, professional stage shows (locally and national tours) in film, television and advertisements.

Alongside our children's activities, we have a choir in Witney for adults. If you would like to join us, please ask for details about our Witney Choir.

Previous students have been successful in gaining places at prestigious drama schools and organisations (Royal Welsh college of Music & Drama, Royal Academy of Music, NYMT National Youth Music Theatre, BYMT British Youth Music Theatre, Guildhall school of music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Oxford School of Drama)

We also offer opportunities to qualify for Trinity College 'Arts Awards' in-house - assisted and moderated by our award-winning mentor.

Our students are offered LAMDA exams and we always achieve 100% pass rate.

A large number of our students come to us via recommendation from parents of children already enrolled with us.

Why not book your child a taster session and view the quality of tuition first-hand.

We look forward to you contacting us, to discuss enrolling your child .
