Woodstock Carnival 2013 Drama Dance & Singing!

Hollywood, Bollywood & Pinewood arrive in Woodstock in June - as the theme of Woodstock’s 2013 Charity Carnival, with a nod to the local Oxford Cinema celebrating 100 years of films shows and Paramount Pictures 100 years of movie magic.

So get to Woodstock on Saturday 22nd June and share the drama; enjoy the great music, wild dancing, performers, wacky stalls and rides for kids – a great occasion for all ages.

Will we see The Godfather or Bugsy Malone, Cleopatra or Spartacus? Maybe something from the 1920s – The Great Gatsby – or Star Wars? Marvel Comics have provided many recent movies so there are sure to be some Superheroes in the parade!

Dancers, drummers, street entertainers, and a huge parade with over 400 people taking part will transform Woodstock, ensuring visitors have a great time whilst raising thousands of pounds for various local organisations and charities.

Stalls open at 4.30pm with music playing before the parade of floats which begins at 6.00. Live music continues in the town square until 10.00pm. Park in the Palace (by kind permission of The Duke of Marlborough) and party!!
Woodstock Charity Carnival celebrates Hollywood, Bollywood and Pinewood.

If you thought Woodstock was a sleepy and beautiful Cotswold town, perfect for a Sunday visit, tearooms, gifts, antiques, fashion and a stroll around the grounds of Blenheim Palace, you would be right….except these days there’s a lot more going on and a raft of reasons to plan a trip right now!  Since the inception of the ‘Wake up to Woodstock’ campaign there’s a buzz in the air and some great things going on.
