WOAPA students in 'Wash Our Hands' music video

We were delighted when out of all the children's theatre schools in Oxfordshire,  WOAPA was recently chosen by a film production company to provide some dancers for a special film project aimed at pre-school and primary-aged children.

A selection of our 'Young Performers' and Main School students aged between 4yrs and 9yrs are featured in the video.

WOAPA's Principal Director, Brian Conroy, said:

"We often have casting directors and producers contact us to involve our students in various projects but this one was rather special as we were also able to involve our very youngest students who are often too young for many roles.
It was wonderful to be able to offer them this experience and get them involved in projects like this at an early age.

It's one of the things which makes us stand out from other children's theatre schools in the area. 

The children performed really well and were a credit to our theatre school in Witney".

The whole project was created during the Covid-19 lockdown, with the children learning and filming their dance routines in their own homes. They were already familiar with our Young Performers tutor, Millie, who choreographed the routine and students found the project a fun activity during the recent period of self-isolation.
The end result is a fantastic children's music video, featuring animation, Puppetry and WOAPA students dancing. See below!

West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts is an independent Theatre School for children aged 4-16 years, which operates at weekends during the standard academic term.
