Oxford audition success for WOAPA student
Congratulations to West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts student Sean Benney, who has been successful in passing recent auditions to appear in the role of 'Pentheus' in Oxford University's 'Bacchae'
Sean has been chosen to play the part of the young prince Pentheus in the production that will be taking place at Oxford Playhouse Theatre in October.
Once every three years, the University of Oxford
produces a Greek play, performed in the classical language (with subtitles).
This year, they are producing Euripides' masterpiece: Bacchae.
The performance is going to be innovative in its employment of
videography as part of the performance.
Sean, A student at West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts' Saturday Theatre School is a pupil at Enstone Primary School and recently performed with the school at Chipping Norton theatre in the title role of 'Macbeth' (pictured left)
Congratulations Sean! We look forward to seeing your performance.
