After a visit from award winning book illustrator, Jim Kay, to Burford School in June, Duncan Cooper was hand-picked to model for the character of Ron Weasley in stunning new fully colour illustrated editions of the Harry Potter series.
Jim was searching for 'gangly boys' for his exciting (and at the time, very secret) project.
He did say that it would be entirely dependent on the well known author and publisher who would be finally picked to play parts in the series of books.
Recently, WOAPA student Duncan was informed about his amazing role and that JK Rowling herself felt he was absolutely right for the part of Ron from Jims sketches.
Unfortunately, Bloomsbury are keeping all artwork under wraps for the time being.
The books will be released one per year and are set to go global from September 2015.
