Congratulations to West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts student Nia Avenell, who has been successful in passing recent auditions for this year's pantomime in Chipping Norton: 'Robinsone Crusoe & The Pirate Queen'
Nia has been a Performing Arts student at WOAPA for three years and in that time, has sung at Blenheim Palace (Xmas 2015) and performed in an Oxfam music video for 'The Yogscast' called 'Diggy Diggy Hole' which has had over 100 thousand YouTube views. Most recently, Nia was a featured dancer in a Park Promotions video of 'The Locomotion'.
Nia is very excited to be joining the cast of 'Robinson Crusoe & The Pirate Queen' for this year's pantomime.
Child actors (Pippins) have always played an integral role in the pantomimes at Chipping Norton and unlike many other Christmas shows, they get great characters, lines and songs.
As part of the company of professional actors. 'Pippins' act, dance and sing and help create the magic of pantomime!
About Robinson Crusoe & The Pirate Queen -
Set sail for adventure with our strapping hero Robinson Crusoe, armed only
with a treasure map, his mum, and the ship-shape crew of the Saucy Nancy.
A tale loved through the ages of shipwrecks and desert islands, retold as
youve never seen it before, with pirates, mermaids, cowboys and the fearsome
Pirate Queen, Betty Babcock!
With hilarious routines and deeply daft mayhem, this exotic treasure chest of
a show has stunning designs and fabulous original music
Performances of Robin Crusoe are 15th November 2016 to 8th January 2017.
